4. AI Data Processing

Tectaflow uses third-party AI providers (Anthropic Claude) to power engineering calculations and design assistance. When you use AI features, your query and relevant project context are sent to the AI provider. We do not use your engineering data to train AI models. AI providers process data under their own data processing agreements.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Payment processors: to handle subscription billing
  • AI providers: to process AI-assisted engineering queries
  • Infrastructure providers: hosting (Railway, Vercel, Neon) for service delivery
  • Error tracking: Sentry, for diagnosing and fixing bugs
  • Law enforcement: only when required by law

6. Data Security

We protect your data with: HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, bcrypt password hashing, JWT-based authentication with short-lived tokens, and infrastructure-level security from our hosting providers. Enterprise plans include additional security features such as SSO/SAML, CMEK encryption, and audit logging.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data via your account settings
  • Export your engineering data (calculations, simulations, drawings)
  • Delete your account and associated data by contacting support
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records for tax purposes).
